Distance Learning

Video Conferencing

Many classrooms are equipped with projection screens and distance learning capabilities. KBOCC supports H.323 (IP) conferencing, and web-based video conferencing. Endpoints are located in two classrooms at the Baraga campus building, one classroom at the L’Anse campus, a conference room at the Baraga hotel/casino, and a conference room in the Marquette casino. Our Lifesize High-Definition videoconferencing system, lifesize.com, provides clear video quality and multimedia sharing between endpoints.

Smart Technology

One KBOCC classroom is equipped with a touch controlled SmartBoard as well as SmartSlates and SmartResponse. One classroom at each campus is designed as an official distance learning classroom.
