The Community College Internship (CCI)
The program encourages community college students to enter technical careers relevant to the DOE mission by providing technical training experiences at the DOE Labs. Students work on technologies or instrumentation projects or major research facilities related to ongoing R&D programs. Headwaters Land Conservancy
HeadWaters Land Conservancy is seeking a full-time intern to help our organization with land stewardship and outreach events during the busy summer season. The Stewardship and Outreach Assistant will monitor conservation easements and help manage HWLC’s nature preserves by maintaining trails, installing signs, marking boundaries, and other stewardship tasks both in and out of the office.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) will announce twenty-six Pathways Internship Positions in the Biological Sciences field. This will be a two-year pilot internship with entry-level positions at the GS-4/5/7 Levels. Positions will be in the following Programs:
- Biotechnology and Regulatory Services (Biological Scientists);
- Wildlife Services (Wildlife Biologists);
- Plant Protection and Quarantine (Plant Protection and Quarantine Officers); and
- Veterinary Services (Microbiologists)
This Internship Program is designed to expose rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students APHIS’ broad mission and to develop key technical and leadership skills necessary to be successful APHIS employees. Upon completion of the program, students may be eligible to be noncompetitively converted into a permanent position. The job announcement will be posted on USAJobs on Monday, March 13, 2017.
